The study was undertaken using cooperative active research with the researcher and the teachers in the same school. They composed a team to develop the teaching materials of country environment about the park of river embankment in Ligang. The way of the study is to explore the interactive situation of the teachers, including their resource investigation, materials’ development and teaching activities, and the students’ learning condition of studying country environment’s curriculum.
The purpose of the study is to apply community resources to develop outdoor teaching activities of environment education, which can help to give an impetus to school-based curriculum and accomplish the curriculum design named “spring dawn of the river embankment” which integrates with the characteristics of the community. The study can also help teachers to establish the way of activity design.
The suggestions of the study are as following:
1.About the investigation of the ecological environment and the study of the teaching materials, the investigation of the community ecological resources must be accuracy and increase the collection of the data of the relative ecological resources. Establish the goals firstly. Arrange and collect the data with exact goals and ways. The school should design the teaching materials with local feature and integrate with the community resources.
2.Teachers should join the workshop of developing curriculum more, collect and study relative information before carrying out outdoor teaching, use this teaching activity design and increase the activities about students’ senses and natural firsthand experience.
3.The institutions of educating teachers should discipline future teachers to possess the professional abilities of practice reflection and active research. The practice can increase the future teachers’ professional equipment of curriculum plan, design, and cooperative teaching etc. and also cultivate in-service teachers’ abilities of curriculum design.
4.The following researchers can do the all year’s ecological investigation, increase objects of their study and integrate with the near schools to develop the best designing way of the activities.
