| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育研究所 === 94 === The study is based on the theory of meta-cognitive reading comprehension（MCRC） to develop MCRC strategies project of online news. It is executed on the website of Educlasses from Educities, and the object is grade-two students of junior high. After reading a piece of designated and non-designated online news or relevant news and articles, students should finish the MCRC worksheets on net and submit it by uploading them to the Website of Educlasses in class. This MCRC worksheet is composed of strategies of questioning, summarizing, clarifying, and predicting. It is an eight-week study. During the study, to reinforce the use of MCRC strategies on online news and to promote the ability of MCRC, researcher will guide students through the problems about MCRC worksheet writing and computer operation, and give students some feedbacks concerning their writing. In the end of the study, there will be a great expectation when students can try to use MCRC strategies in any other learning situation as well.
The major findings of this study are as follows. The MCRC strategies project of online news can be effective in:
1. Promoting the development of MCRC strategies for students of junior high.
2. Strengthening the reading comprehension ability of junior high students, especially for students in Mid-score and Low-score group of reading comprehension.
3. Strengthening the reading meta-cognitive ability of junior high students, especially for students in Mid-score and Low-score group of reading meta-cognitive.
4. Reinforcing junior high students' use of MCRC strategies.
According to the findings, this study contributes to develop a MCRC strategies project of online news and for relevant researches later as suggestions. Furthermore, we hope that it will be helpful for online reading comprehension strategies teaching and studies.
