Based on the theoretical foundation of dynamic capabilities and corporate governance theories, we tried to establish the linkage between firm’s dynamic capabilities development and performance. The efficiency of resource deployment was also affected by internal and external factors, so we considered to put two moderating factors, corporate governance and competitive posture, in our framework. The research samples were collected from 326 public-traded companies of the electronic industries in Taiwan. The empirical evidences show that a history of increased R&D investments and manufacturing are enduring sources of competitive advantages. We also find that profit based competitive posture positively moderates the relationship between marketing increased deployment and economic returns. And it positively moderates the relationship between manufacturing increased deployment and economic returns.
