The most famous TFT-LCD manufactures in Taiwan are AUO, CMO, CPT, Hannstar and QDI, which have generated such a huge output value as 9,761 billion in 2005. TFT-LCD industry is a high tech industry, and it’s product life cycle is short. The value of product declines rapidly in the end of a product life cycle. Therefore, the research and management of product life cycle is very important. In order to win an advantageous position, industry must make strategies which face the environment of changing market and product. In the area of life cycle literature, most researches emphasize marketing and organization of the business. Several researches made forecast on product life cycle, but few investigate the issue of the life cycle of multiple products. This research proposes a set of inventory model to builds single-product and multi-product properties, and finds real-time reorder point for each month. A simulation model is built using ARENA to examine the decisions which may be changed by the manufacturer.
