碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 家庭教育研究所 === 94 === Abstract The purpose of this study is to explore family values of Taiwanese and East South Asian mothers and analyze the difference between family values bases on the variance of the diversity of individual background. Finally, the comparison and analysis on family values of Taiwanese and East South Asian mothers. The Survey of family values on Taiwanese and East South Asian mothers is the main research tool used in collecting data . The scale was developed and sent to 401 Taiwanese mothers and 287 foreign brides who come from East South Asia. By means of descriptive statistical method, t-test, One- Way and two –way ANOVA and Scheffe method for posterior comparisons, the conclusions of this study are obtained as follows： 一、From the viewpoint of East South Asian mothers , The aspects in marriage concept and family ethics occupied the highest score and towards traditional ideas. The aspects of up-bringing, the roles of gender and the relationship between the couple towards non-traditional ideas. 二、From the native mothers’ viewpoint, the aspects on the relationship between the couple , family ethics and marriage concept got the highest score, however, the aspects of the roles of gender and up-bringing got the lower score. But five aspects towards non-traditional ideas. 三、From the viewpoint of mothers from different country ,there were significant distinctions among the roles of gender, up-bringing, the relationship between the couple, marriage concept and family ethics bases on the diversity of age, employment or unemployment, educational level , religion and the construction of family. Bases on the findings and conclusions of this study, suggestions were proposed for related organizations and further studies in the future.
