Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 家庭教育研究所 === 94 === This study was aimed to design a curriculum of parental efficacy for foreign brides. It was expected that this curriculum could help educate those foreign brides to fulfill their parental duty. The results by unit were collected by the category of the satisfaction of the services, the group records and the satisfaction to the whole program. Then, based on Parental Efficacy scale, the pre- and post- data from the experiment were compared and analyzed.
The discoveries are as follows:
1.The results from the parental efficacy curriculum proved that this program was really helpful on assisting foreign brides to educate their children. Besides, the program was also helpful on the satisfaction of parental sensational ability. Trained by this curriculum, foreign brides could obtain better skills on educating children, and children would be fostered with higher self-confidence.
This program also proved that those foreign brides being educated by this curriculum could have positive parenting attitude to educating children.
2. In the whole program, the scales on Joy, Content-based Activity, Time Arrangement, Group Learning Attitude, Leading Skills, Group Involvement, Self Expression, and Overall Sensation were averagely 3.91. The high number presented that the curriculum was successful and efficient.
In conclusion, the findings are valuable consultancies to future studies on the foreign
bride. Then, it is expectable to have well-formed and effective curriculum helping foreign brides to be good mothers.
