Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 94 === Abstract Rolling Stone-A Study on Creation of Ink Painting about The Image of Penghu Island The value of art lies in that it can transmit the emotion within the general human nature. After the industrial revolution, the global population generally centralizes to the metropolis. This kind of phenomenon is much more obvious since the 20th century. Today, because of the environmental change, “the new civilization” of metropolis has given the heartless impact to the traditional village culture and cultivated “the homeland consciousness” of the contemporaries. “Searching for the lost homeland” becomes the best soul comforting method for the contemporaries in this dissimilated physical world. The motivation of this study bases on the deepest love to the homeland and takes the author’s emotion to the hometown, Penghu Island, as the focus to the search of homeland and origin of the innermost emotion world by the drawing creation. Everyone has the deepest love to the homeland. In gazing and remembering the hometown, each growth memory jumps out in a throbbing heartbeat. The calling of family and relative is like the tide flowing into people’s heart and mind. By describing the hometown, people can transmit personal love and attached feeling to awaken people’s identification to the land of breeding life and the culture, to return to the original spirit of nature and simplicity, and to explore the cognitive true self. These are the objectives of this study. This study utilizes the Philosophy Approach, Theoretical Analysis and Synthesis Approach, Action Research Approach and Quality Thinking Approach to conduct the creation research, and to examine the development of Chinese and Western painting concepts moving from reappearance to performance and from objectivity to subjectivity. In addition, because the modern art has been through the post-modern ablutions, the compartmentation of the artistic mainstream theory is not so important any more and there is any possibility of manifestation. In terms of the above, the works of this research in the manifestation do not rigidly adhere to the embodiment, abstraction or any other style. This study emphasizes the contents of art works from the feelings and experiences of real life. The author truly believes that the beauty is always from the “genuineness” and “human nature”. “Nostalgia” is the subject in this research. This study, firstly states the reason of taking “stone” as the subject, secondly discusses the origination and meaning of “nostalgia”, then talks about the function and influence of emotion to the art, and finally elaborates the imagery creation of emotion-centered esthetics. Concluding as the above, the viewpoints of this study are: 1. the value of art is to seek the self-cognition; 2. the art expresses the nationality and territoriality; and 3. the art should have timeliness. Finally, this study introspects and deliberates the flaw of art works and sums up following three directions as references for future creation development: 1. establishing the style by various experiments; 2. strengthening the spiritual hardening; and 3. making effort to simplify the manifestation.
