However, the variation causing from genetic has largely been ignored in related studies. Purpose: To assess the differences in cardiovascular function between long-term high and low physical activity at monozygotic twins. Methods: All subjects completed questionnaires and echocardiography studies. The parameters included left ventricular intra-dimension (end-diastolic), left ventricular intra-dimension (end-systolic), ejection fraction, interventricular septum dimension, left ventricular posterior wall dimension, aortic root diameter and hypertrophic index. Twins were divided into active group and less active group according to their score of questionnaires. Results: There were no significant differences between high and low physical activities at monozygotic twins. Conclusions: There were no significant differences in cardiovascular function between active group and less active group at monozygotic twins. It is suggested that genetic probably effect cardiovascular function more than daily physical activity.
