Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 會計學系企業高階管理 === 94 === Under the rapid changes and the fierce competition for the global corporate management environment many industries are encountered challenges that were never faced before. A number of large-scale corporate companies that were once performing well were faced with losses, lay off employees or even being merged for being unable to adapt to the market changes and take on the necessary measures for the changes. The phenomenon had attracted a strong concern from the global industries as everyone started thinking about the operational management strategies, for example, the flat organization and a total qualitymanagement (TQM). However the most breakthrough concept is the use of process re-engineering. In this research the concept of process re-engineering is used and physically applied in the improvement for administrative service efficiencies in the mid-
sized preschool education industries to further raise the overall service qualities and strengthen their competitiveness.
In this research the discussion on process re-engineering makes use of the references from the process re-engineering steps proposed by Kettinger (1997). Actual interviews with daycare centers for their re-engineering processes were done followed by efficiency analysis after the re-engineering. Questionnaire surveys were used focusing on the re-engineering of tutoring processes in order to survey the satisfaction, and to understand the parents’ satisfaction for the organization re-engineering of the A English kindergarden. Based on the data analysis of the results the following conclusions are made:
1. Transformations are made after organization re-engineering but the re-engineering raises the vitality of the organization.
2. Organization re-engineering raises customer satisfaction.
3. Only corporate businesses that carry on with constant innovation and constant learning will become successful corporate businesses in the era of knowledge economy.
