A questionnaire was used for collecting data. The population came from 80 special classes of vocational schools in Taiwan area, and gains 54 schools via purposive sampling. The study chooses the teachers for the classes of mental retardation in vocational high schools as the studying subjects, including 440 teachers. The statistic analyses were frequency distribution, percentage, mean,standard deviation, one sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffé Post Hoc Multiple Comparisons. The results are summarized as follows: 1.Teachers have five kinds of non-technical employability needs, it was very important that students should achieve to a level in work skills. In these work skills, work personality were the most important, basic work skills, communication skills, social skills, and daily living skills were the second. 2.Teachers have five kinds of non-technical employability needs, including (1)work personality, (2)basic work skills, (3)communication skills,(4) social skills, and (5) daily living skills. These five non-technical employability needs varied in degrees. 3.Teachers Graduated from department of special Education had higher need of work personality than that of those without the credits . 4.Teachers Graduated from department of special education had higher need of basic work skills than other background on special professional education. 5.The teachers are other duties which had higher need of work personality than special education teachers in special education program in vocation high schools. 6.The incumbent teachers which had higher need of work personality than those teachers who hold adviser and administration at the same time. 7. There were insignificant differences in various types of senior high and vocationalschools’ teachers regarding to teachers needs for non-technical employability of individuals with special class students in senior vocational high schools.
