Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 94 === ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to investigate the allocation and accountability of current resources operated by selected industrial high schools. For the improvement of wide-ranging education quality, various related superior and inferior indicators found in vigorous competition among schools were also examined. Numerical data of AY 2004 from a total of 12 identical vocational industrial high schools were selected as research entries. The accountability of these selected schools was analyzed in terms of “input”, “process”, and “output” aspects via a Multidimensional Scale (MDS) method. The results are as follows: 1. Three schools demonstrate superior indicators while other three of the rest present second-rate indicators on the aspect of “input”, which encompass school resources and school size. 2. Three schools reveal superior indicators while two present weaker indicators on the aspect of “process”, which include learning environments/ adaptation and learning performance. 3. Only one school prove superior in terms of “output” aspect including learning outcomes and students’ future accesses, while five schools show weak indicators. 4. There exists some inconsistency between public and private school settings. Several suggestions were made for education authorities and further studies.
