Since the rotational speed of a pneumatic motor closely depends on the pressure and volume of inflow air, one can control the speed via adjusting the inlet valve position. However, the whole system is nonlinear with hysteresis behavior, we developed the fuzzy logic control rules and implanted it on a FPGA system. Experiment results show this system is able to effectively control the air motor rotational velocity under different conditions.
