The antennas are first designed using IE3D full-wave electromagnetic simulator, and then fabricated on the FR4 printed-circuit board. Measured return loss, which is better than 10dB from 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz, is in good agreement with simulation. To increase the isolation between two UWB antennas, a spurline filter is placed on the edge of the common ground of the antennas. The edge current excited due to the radiation of the antennas is successfully reduced by the spurline. The design is also fabricated on FR4 substrate.
