First, investigate the current status of job involvement and teaching effectiveness of elementary school physical education teachers in Taoyuan; Second, compare the differences among selected demographic variables on job involvement; Third, compare the differences among selected demographic variables on teaching effectiveness; Last, study the relationship between job involvement and teaching effectiveness of P.E. teachers in Taoyuan. For questionnaire survey, 957 Taoyuan P.E. teachers were selected from 74 elementary schools as randomly samples. With 741 valid questionnaires, the research uses standard, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple stepwise regression analysis to analyze the data; and comes to the results as following: 1. The elementary teacher of Taoyuan county with the type of “medium-high “ teachers’ whole job involvement and teaching effectiveness. 2. The elementary school P. E. teachers’ job involvement is differentiated by the varied cause of teacher individual variables and school environment variables. 3. The elementary school P. E. teachers’ teaching effectiveness is differentiated by the varied cause of teacher individual variables and school environment variables. 4. There are positive correlations between the whole P.E. teachers’ job involvement and their teaching effectiveness in every dimension. 5. The higher P.E. teachers’ job involvement, the better the teaching effectiveness. 6. The elementary school P.E. teachers’ job involvement has medium explanation of the whole and every dimension of teaching effectiveness. 7.
