Everything from daily life movements to the performance of an athlete has a very close relationship with our coordination ability. Elementary children are right in the best period to be trained and built up in their movement and coordination abilities. This requires us to use timely and proper activities to stimulate coordination, which will promote more fully their development in movement coordination. The range of this research targets elementary children in Taichung County from grade one through grade four. This research uses a method that requires sampling from each grade. Five elementary schools have been selected. From each of these five schools, one class from each grade (1 through 4) was selected to be tested. There were twenty classes totally, and the total number of the tested students was 530. Their average age was 8.2 ±1.24 years old. Their average stature was 131.5 ±9.41 centimeters. Their average weight was 31.6 ±8.71 kilograms. The items of this examination include: 1. To use a form of three-day physical activity recalling table to analyze the quantity of the children’s physical activity level. 2. To measure cylinder casting, left and right breadthways jumping, badminton throwing, and standing on one foot with their eyes closed as tests of the children’s coordination abilities. The results of the data describes the basic information for each activity mentioned in No. 2 for each tested child. The sample t-test the difference between the quantity of their physical activity level and their coordination ability; Pearson analyzes the correlations between the quantity of physical activity level and coordination ability. A significant level is α= .05. The result of this experiment is recorded below. 1. The quantity of physical activity level of the children in the middle grades is higher than that of the children in the lower grades (p<.05) 2. The coordination ability of the children in the middle grades is superior to the lower grades. 3. The quantity of physical activity level of boys and girls shows no obvious differences (p<.05) 4. The boys’ coordination ability is superior to the girls’. (p<.05) 5. The quantity of physical activity level and coordination ability has a significant relationship.
