Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 運動技術研究所 === 94 === Analysis Marathon of Split Time of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Abstract The purpose of this study was to probe into the difference in between the rank of split time and the speed of top eight men and eight women marathon runners of 2004 Athens Olympic Games, as the result then compare and analyze the domestic men and women runner. study samples were collected from XXVIII Athens Olympic Games men and women elite runners, which includes the results of each runner, analysis their speed control through Excel, also utilizing SAS 8.2 statistics software to do two-way ANOVA. Per analysis and discussion, the summary is as follow: A. Men’s runners: (1) regarding the top eight men’s marathon runners, the key of winning victory is after 30KM, (2) each 5KM split time of domestic runners are mostly steady, but there is obvious weaker on the performance, (3) all runners were unable to maintain the steady speed, helpless to improve speed of second half marathon. B. Women’s runners: (1) regarding the top eight women’s marathon runners, the key of winning victory is after 25KM, but each split time appeared more unstable change curve. (2), domestic runners do not have stable pace control, and there is obvious weaker on the performance. (3) All runners need to have more stable running pace, furthermore the path of first half of marathon should be slower than second half, and this will improve performance.
