As the rapid development of the mobile communications, the mobile hand-held devices have not only been used near human head but also closed to chest. First, we describe the chest cavity structure and its contained organs and tissues. Then we set up a thorax layered model to observe the EM coupling effects between a thoracic layer and the uniform plane wave. The transmitted power, absorption power and specific absorption rate (SAR) of the thorax tissues are computed. The three-dimensional (3-D) human thorax model, including the head and shank, is also built for analyzing the SAR distribution of the human thorax to a mobile phone on different position. The second part of this thesis studies the EM-human interaction in the car electron system. The distribution of electric field intensity inside automobile and the EM absorption by human are studied.
