So low power consumption is very important factor. Generally, transformer is used to impedance matching, impedance transformer, filter, and balun. In recently many papers present application of transformer feedback that achieves a low voltage operation with low power consumption. This thesis mainly starts from design and analysis of transformer, and we discuss temperature and substrate effect in the RF monolithic transformer. We find compatible Partial Poly-silicon Ground Shields (PPGS) and backside Inductively Coupled Plasma(ICP) deep trench technologies to optimize the performance of transformers. We explain transformer feedback techniques and design transformer feedback LNA and VCO. At last, we utilize two differential transformers to excite quadrature signal.
