The four main purposes of this research are to analyse the religious effect on the retired teachers biological health, mental adaptation, social life and to offer advices to on-service teachers, retired teachers and adult education organization ,to especially religious institutes. The resercher first take theories and related material in order to analyze the relationship between religious belief and the living adjustment. Then, to use the semi-structural interview as the main research method and to sample six retired teachers in Nantou County. According to the findings of this research, resercher delivers some suggestions to relevant organization institutes. The conclusion of this study are: First, biological effect, the retired teacher lives a regular daily life because of the religious belief; they emphasize the nutritious balance in order to avoid the chronic diseases. To participate in religious activities is beneficial to maintain health. Second, mental adaptation, the ultimate meaning of religion is to help retired teachers to accept the truth of death and pursue the value of eternity. They will be content with everything. Third, social life, (a) religious belief influences the living value of the retired teachers and their families, which make them respect each other and live a harmony life. (b) voluntarily service, to be volunteers in helping poor families. Based on the conclusion of this research, we offer these advices: (A) to on-service teachers: (a) they can join the religious learning activities in leisure time, which can help the development of accurate living value. (b) besides the school and family, they can actively join other social activities so that they can extend the living field. (B) the suggestions to retired teachers: (a) they can join more religious activities in order to promote the spiritual life in retiring life. (b) they should join social service in order to gain the achievement and explore livelihood. (C) the advices to religious institutes: (a) the religious institutes can offer the learning of life education to retired teachers. (b) according to the reuse of human resource, the government can hire the retired teachers who get religious belief to share their life experience, which can help other retired teachers to adapt the retiring life.
