This thesis proposes a novel process to handle recycling issue by the arc discharge of high voltage and high frequency. It can not only replace the original recycle process that smashes the disk up and then separates metal cladding material from the disk, but also can solve the problem of low speed waste disks treatment and reducing second pollution. This approach results in instant changing the metal cladding material temperature of the disk surface quickly. Different coefficient of expansion between plastics and metal cladding material can be stripped on disks surface.
This thesis is investigated the variation of disks stripped quantity and the influence of Polycarbonate structure by the factors of different voltages, frequencies, and discharging times. To understand the defects result time and the produce reason during arc discharging procedure by means of comparing the stripped effect. From the field test, both the treatment time of wasted disks and the influence of recycling qualities are improved effectively.
