Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃學系碩博士班 === 94 === Since 1970s, the era of globalization has begun. The development and improvement of information and transportation technologies caused the dispersion of economic activities and the increase of mobility. Acompaning with the complicated activities, the variety of travel types and family structures leads to the fragmented of spatial distribution and the re-construction of spatial pattern. Meanwhile, in order to minimize the resources waste and improve the efficiency, the industry specification and the division of labor need increased. Monocentric urban structure is not suitable in the modern world any longer; the trend of polycentric development becomes the essential point of urban design which leads to a network environment. Different resources in different areas and try to link and cooperate together. Recently, the polycentric development has been promoted in many countries by using some kinds of spatial policies which to induce the reconstruction of spatial development. The units for spatial readjustment include the residential area, business area, administrative district, banking district, recreational area, etc. They are very similar to zoning which is used in urban planning for land use control. The only differences between traditional land use control and polycentric spatial readjustment are the issues of scale and degree of mixing. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to investigate how polycentric spatial structure can be developed in Northern Taiwan where is adopted to be the study area. I try to analyze the possibility of spatial reconstruction in Northern Taiwan to become an efficient polycentric spatial structure.
This study firstly calibrates the trip distribution model of North Region of Taiwan. Then the results of the trip distribution model is used to observe how trip changes by making some scheme of scenarioes. At last, by developing a programming model of Polycentric structure to solve the optimal spatial structure under restrictions.
