Six logistics service factors are extracted based on factor analysis: value-added services, inventory services, transportation services, storage services, support services and information services. These logistics service factors were used to classify Taiwanese manufacturing industries into four segments, namely, storage services oriented firms, transportation services oriented firms, information services oriented firms, as well as value-added and support services oriented firms.
