By using the text being chosen form the whole poetries of Song dynasty, the article treats of the poetries which shown mantel attitude of people who face the frontier conflicts between races .According to the history from North-Song dynasty and South-Song dynasty, the disquisition takes several important writers for example, to present the atmosphere of that age. After that, the research comes to the literary form and arts of frontier fortress.
Chapter one shows the motive and objective for writing this article, review of the past researches of the related subjects, and also a definition of the title.
The summary of the literature on frontier fortress before the Song Dynasty was presented in Chapter two. From the beginning, the developing, till the flourishing times. At the end of the chapter, it compares the poetries written by man of letters between the works of Tun-Wong.
Chapter three and chapter five are about the key wars and the important history of the North-Song and South-Song Dynasty. In theses chapters, the poetries about the wars and the conflicts, or can be confirm related to them, will be put in.
In the fourth and the sixth chapter, the text of the poetries on frontier fortress was being analyzed. There a several poetries taken for example. Through the interpretation of the poetries, shows the mental attitude under the argument of war and peace.
Chapter seven is about the art form and the style. The first part discuss about the poetries on frontier fortress obeys the formulary form or not. The second part tells the image of the frontier fortress, both in the frontier fortress and non-frontier fortress. The third part shows that the real and imagining writing type, the old subject matter of bold and unconstrained or graceful and restrained. The last point, for the frontier fortress in Song dynasty, the view of heavy and strongly fragrant style is not as proper as the loyalty and justice, which the literati and officialdom of Song put into practice in their daily life and intend to their literature.
The eighth Chapter is conclusion. Through the research done in above chapters, we can see the importance and many faces of the poetries on frontier fortress in Song dynasty. The last part offers two possible ways which can be continued.
