碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工學院工程管理專班 === 94 === The main thrust of this article is to analyze the key successful factors of diversification for Taiwan’s semiconductor foundry in the past and in the future. The paper proceeds with an industry analysis of Taiwan’s semiconductor foundry industry by collecting the relevant data. The opinions of Taiwan’s semiconductor foundry companies are also included with the help of questionnaires and top management interviews. From the questionnaires and the interviews result the seven key success factors of diversification such as find and support excellent IC design companies, supply chain integration inside the group, excellent customer and technical service, the capability of design to meet customers’ need, build up a fair compensation system, the ability to integrate, and the government economical planning and laws legislation in Taiwan, due to Taiwan's semiconductor foundry companies’ success in the past two decade. We also find out the seven key success factors of diversification such as find and support excellent IC design companies, the government economical planning and laws legislation in Taiwan, supply chain integration inside the group, the capability of design to meet customers’ need, build up a fair compensation system and solid corporate culture, the ability to integrate, and technical patents and know-how. Finally the paper tries to make some suggestions for Taiwan's semiconductor foundry companies and government.
