碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 土木工程學系碩博士班 === 94 === The soil liquefaction phenomenon often interests researchers, especially after the 921 earthquake in Chichi, which drew extensive attention to disasters caused by the soil liquefaction. Differ from the tradition method, which adds up the soil layer data from top to bottom when evaluating soil liquefaction, the proposed method is first to divide the 0-15 meters deep soil layer to three equal parts. Then analyze the relationship between the liquefaction and the different soil layers, in hope of further enhancing the success rate in estimating the potential liquefaction level. A localized liquefaction potential evaluation method is proposed. The method employs the grid method associated with GIS and takes account of the stream system, ground water level, topography, soil property, sedimentation, PGA and the distance from faults. Field information collected from Dacun, Yuanlin and Shetou, are adopted for simulating the proposed method. Finally the method is applied to Tainan and Kaohsiung area. It is expected that the method can be used as a reference to relevant planning for two metropolitans.
