This paper implements a multi-functional server system that has remote monitor capability; our conception is focus of household appliances, combine the remote monitor, multimedia and network communication domain applications. The system can offer the function application of four themes at the same time that are Remote Image Monitoring, Video on Demand of Multimedia application, WebTV and the basic Home Gateway Configuration setting. Software in the system introduction open source software and application programs that developed by oneself completely. Make the single monitor functionality can be combined and expanded with other application via the friendly and conveniently web interface, that lets users not need to increase the cost to buy the new equipment and can be enjoyed the basic function service at digital home. Plan and develop relevant possible application, and then reach phototype of the digital home application.
