Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 森林學系所 === 94 === The purpose of this research is to discuss the factors influencing people’s landscape preference which Scenic Beauty Estimation(SBE)is applied. Besides, this research tries to integate the concepts of Contingent Valuation Method(CVM); through the actual monetary patronage of people’s willingness to address the preferences of Taichung citizen.
The research area is mainly in Taichung city, and the photographs of strret trees were taken to as sit, the questionnaires inventory while 386 valid questionnaires were obtained; the objectives of this research are as follows:
1.Applying ANOVA(Analysis of Variation)and Relativity Analysis to analyze the relationships of the personal traits of the interviewees and scenery preferences. Personal traits include socioeconomic background and the cognitive attitudes towards the street trees; socioeconomic background contains seven variables which are sex, age, residence, occupation, personal income, education level, and the distance to street trees. The cognitive attitudes include four variables that are influencing safety, environmental sanitation, increasing beauty and improving the environment.
2.To apply ANOVA and Relativity Analysis to analyze the relationships between personal traits of the interviewees and their wills to patronize.
3.To measure the rate of SBE of every pictures and the quantity of the component elements which contain tree height, crown diameter, diameter of breast height, areas of tree-crown, areas of tree trunks and branches, numbers of tree, clear-length, areas of shrubs which are under trees, whether it bloom or not and whether it defoliate or not of street tree; and areas of cars’ occupancy. The quantity of component elements is independent variables to have regression, for SBE rate is independent variable.
4.Applying Regression to analyze the relationships between the quantity of the component elements of landscape, and the willingness of monetary patronage.
There are some findings of this research:
1.In personal traits, it shows the average rate of preference is different with various occupations and the elders have higher preference. Other socioeconomic variables have no influence on the cognitive attitudes for street trees.
2.There is a positive relativity between the willingness for patronage, personal income and the cognitive attitudes for street trees of those interviewees; other socioeconomic background variables have no influences.
3.After deleting the inappropriate variables, 8 variables which are tree height, crown diameter, numbers of tree, areas of tree-crown, areas of shrubs which are under trees, areas of cars’ occupancy, whether it bloom or not and whether it defoliate or not and SBE rate, are applied for regression. The explanation rate is 90%, among which tree height, crown diameter, whether it bloom or not have positive influences on scenery preference; whether it defoliate or not and areas of cars’ occupancy are negative.
4.Tree height, numbers of tree, areas of tree-crown, areas of shrubs which are under trees, areas of cars’ occupancy and whether it bloom or not will influence on patronage willingness of interviewees; Tree height, numbers of tree, areas of tree-crown and whether it bloom or not have positive influence on patronage willingness, however areas of shrubs which are under trees and areas of cars’ occupancy have negative influence on patronage willingness. The explanation rate is 81%.
5.There is a 77.3% relativity (p<.05) between SBE rates and willingness to patronage. To use the willingness of patronage as a way to express the preference media can also reflect the difference of scenic beauty.
