Besides, in the light of melanin solution on influences of cell activities and photoprotection abilities of silky fowl skin melanin solution and synthesis melanin solution induced by UVB. The results appeared that experiment in vitro,aspects of the assay on anti-oxidizing properties of silky fowl melanin (SS-melanin)solution and synthesis melanin (SY-melanin)solution, melanin solution had broad spectrum absorption, significantly anti-lipid peroxidation(p<0.05), effective chelating abilities on ferrous iron, scavenging abilities on DPPH radicals(p<0.05), scavenging abilities on superoxide anion(p<0.05), reducing abilities(p<0.05), eliminating abilities on hydrogen peroxide(p<0.05)and preventing deoxyribose from damage induced by Fenton reaction(p<0.05). And complying with the concentration of silky fowl melanin (SS-melanin)solution and synthesis melanin (SY-melanin)solution became thicker, the anti-oxidation abilities showed better results. In the experiments of human skin fibroblast(WS1)on antiaging and anti-photoaging, melanin solution could promote viaility of fibroblasts. Under irradiation of UVB(312nm , 37.6 J/cm2), melanin solution could protect fibroblast from Ultraviolet rays leison(p<0.05), delay aging of fibroblast(p<0.01), inhibit production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)(p<0.05)and lipid peroxide (malondialdehyde,MDA)(p<0.01).On the aspect of anti-oxidizing system of fibroblast, SS-melanin could increase activity of superoxidase and catalase apparently(p<0.01) under UVB(312nm , 37.6 J/cm2) irradiation. Furthermore, melanin solution could promote collagen excretion of cell(p<0.05)and diminished UVB-induced photodegradation of collagen suspension. Melanin solution also showed great ability on preventing fibroblast DNA damage under UVB irradiation(312nm , 37.6 J/cm2), that is to say, melanin solution could retard degrees of DNA fragmentation.
