The subjects of this research are the salesforces of the 14 sub-companies from the Formosa Plastics Corporation. 734 questionnaires were distributed and 553 valid questonnaires were used for statistical analysis. Descriptive statistics, t test and ANOVA analysis were applied to analyze the data. The results showed that the individual factors and context factors, such as gender, seniority, age, marital status, and position have significant impacts on the competency-based training needs.
