Description
Summary:碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 工程技術研究所 === 94 === The toxicity of nutrients depends on its form of species and distribution in the stream water. Therefore, dissolved, particulate and sediment type of samples will be collected in this study to explore the transport and fate of nutrients in this stream. Additionally, the water quality index (WQI), a prevalent water index for polluted stream, is not capable of displaying the correlation between the number of Formosan Salmon and the water quality. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) computer calculate software was adopted to proceed factor analysis and find the weight of water quality parameters. From factor analysis, five common factors were yielded:1.「nutrient factor」includes ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorous;2.「photosynthesis factor」includes pH and dissolved oxygen;3.「organic factor」;4.「turbid factor」;5.「dissolvable factor」. A new and convenient water index will be developed in this study to reflect the influence of water quality on the number of Formosan Salmon. Available information indicated that the nutrients in Chichiawan stream are mainly from the fertilizer applied to the farms near the stream. The mechanisms of the nutrients brought into the stream are controlled by the surface run-off generated from the rainfall. The fertilizers of the farms often flow into stream after raining, can cause enhance of nutrients concentration in the stream therefore affects the main habitat of the Formosan Salmon. The pollution loading from various utilization of land will be simulated and estimated by the Win VAST non-point source model.
