Due to system complexity and future expansion, AMS design needs a practical and systematic method for design effectiveness and efficiency. This study aims to propose a methodology for facilitating manufacturing planning and system layout as well as constructing a referential factory model which could be extended as the control software implementation for a specific AMS. This methodology provides the necessary technique for the design process including: 1. from the process of optimizing the manufacturing plan to get system requirement; 2. from the process of optimizing equipment plan to get equipment requirement and facility layout; 3 from the abstraction of requirement to construct referential factory model; and 4. extending referential model from physical operation to implement the control software for a specific factory. This study not only pinpoints the system design from manufacturing perspective, but also uses the object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) technique to abstract the generic features of AMSs. Based on the generic model, named as referential factory model, AMS designer can implement the specific factory control software via the referential model. In the methodology, model is constructed and described in Unified Modeling Language (UML). System implementation employs JAVA programming language. An engine factory demonstrates the design methodology and its effectiveness. This study benefits the practice of AMS design and also illustrates the object-oriented concept and implementation in AMS application. 鄭瑋弘 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 98 zh-TW
