Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士班 === 94 === This research includes six retired teachers as the protagonists of the life stories. By their life narrations, I can go into their lives to understand them closely. Understanding these retired teachers includes the past, the present and the future’s life figures. Simultaneously, the six retired teachers and I can make meaning the life stories together through our encounter. Moreover, we can give some kind of life meaning to the people who are in the different space and different time using reading and understanding the different life meaning.
During the research, I use care as my researched motive power. And I use narrative inquiry orientation to study their life history. By interviewing deeply to the six retired teachers, the research text begins from a usual day of retired life, and it also shows these retired teachers’ present (retired life and retired emotion), past (growth backgrounds, career histories), and future (ideals, solicitude, dreams).
Additionally, through the narrative action of the six retired teachers and my interpretation, I find that these teachers from 1940~2000 still have their enthusiasm. And, their different life’s circumstances show the different core meanings of retire. Their retired choice making in the interweaving scenes often includes different hope of life. And that people choose different style of retired life depends on people’s life sentiment (it means inherent emotions, values, and characteristics). Furthermore, the six teachers’ teaching faith is created by the growth of themselves, the predicaments which they meet with, and the experiences. Their lives grow up at the same process. And, from their unfinished dreams, I can see the life’s hope in the depths of the six teachers’heart.
