So it switches leisure behavior into the direction of its own interest activity and serious. People can get and learn more acknowledge during the process of serious leisure. Learning English is one of the example of these activities. The motivation of this study is to explore the relationship between serious leisure and children’s English learning proposed by Stebbins this study are:The purpose of this study are: (a) to find whether English course, which children attend after school, is the same as the theory of serious leisure of Stebbins? (b) to discuss the relationship between the children’s English learning and serious leisure. (c) to build an institute which provides the environment of serious leisure. Teachers employed in this kind of institute must try to make children’s learning in leisure with many skills. The study is explained with person’s motivation, behavior and traits of serious leisure based on qualitative research. Three compositions, which are learning composition, leisure composition and environment composition, are proposed based on the methods which are literature review, interviewing, questionnaire investigation and teaching experience by the postgraduate. Finally, results of this research can be concluded as the following: (a) a person who is capable of technical skills on leisure can get more knowledge, experience, feedback, and benefit from these activities, they will keep on participating in them to achieve self-contented (b) as for society, sociality is to help others and be in need of someone’s offers (c) in serious leisure environment, the English teacher should receive more training in a specialty such like children psychology, and bring it into the class. Based on the above, the benefits will be in two parts, which can enhance teaching efficiency and build a wonderful organization.
