To make profits by using knowledge management, it is an obligation for company to make an effort to prevent the occupational hazards. In this study, Occupational Safety & Health Administration department of Chunghwa Telecom Inc. is selected as an example for empirical study. The employees including the managers, staff, and administrators are deeply interviewed to explore the problems related to the knowledge resources of employee safety. Some conclusions are given as follows: 1. At individual level: a. Knowledge resources should be able to use conveniently and practically. b. Educations and promotions are required. c. Performance review of the personnel on the knowledge of safety is needed. 2. At company level: a. knowledge resources should be renewable, transferable and integrated. b. Goals of knowledge management set by the high-level managers must be very clear. c. Organizational cultures should be built. d. Responsible units must be formed. e. Efforts of prevention of occupational hazards in each unit, must be incorporated in the performance review. 3. At country level: a. Policy made must be brief and clear. b. Knowledge resources must be provided in a clear and all-direction manner. c. Promotion of the safety issues must be held frequently. d. Monitor of the safety must be done on a regular basis. e. Encouragement and punishment for the efforts on the safety issues must be effective. The key factors of the knowledge resources to improve the health and safety for the employees are illustrated in the study. The key factors obtained in this study are good suggestions for the industry to prevent the safety hazards
