Once used during World War II to identify friendly aircraft, RFID is now being used in a variety of public and private sector settings, from hospitals to the supply chain. RFID technology dramatically increases the ability of organization to acquire a vast array of data about location and properties of any entity that cab be physically tagged and wirelessly scanned within certain technical limitations. Information technology, such as RFID and its system is also the enabler of Business Process Reengineering. This purpose of the research is to analyse and improve the C.A.F aircraft maintenance process combining RFID and the corresponding information system and utilizing of the Business Process Modeling and Analysis (BPMA) procedure and IDEF0 modeling technique. The potential benefit is shown by comparing as-is to To-be scenarios in aircraft maintenance flow. The aviation business faces two big problems, human error and improper inventory. RFID-based technology used in aircraft maintenance management, human error could be reduced and the function of human role be promoted. The research suggested that if the Air Force is planning to implement RFID-based technology in their maintenance management, first have to build the repairable components of aircraft database for the policy that overhaul of depot shift to enterprises, and secondly, speed up the step of learning process, and set up the strategic plan of RFID-based technology implementation, and finally, synergizing with the existed IT system, such as the ERP systems. none 鄭玉龍 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 144 zh-TW |
