The platform consists of two major parts, namely learning area and training area. In learning area, the trainee can learn how to repair motorcycles form virtual environments as well as form video record of an actual repair process. In the training area, the trainee can select the parts to be replaced for a repair test. In any test selected, time spent and times of mistakes made will be counted for a final score. During the test, text prompt, voice hint or picture hint for correct replacement will show up after making mistakes. The platform has also been tested for its effectiveness of learning. The result shows that after 8 cycles of training, the trainee will learn how to repair motorcycles. The time needed for virtual learning and for traditional learning in which the training is performed by an experienced trainer was also compared. The time spend by virtual learning is 1.7 times shorter. 3D Studio MAX 5.1 and EON Studio 4.1 were used to develop the scene of motorcycle repairs; VB 6.0 was used to set up the user interface. The successfulness of this thesis not only helps people who want to learn motorcycle repair, also it shows the advantages and usefulness of virtual learning.
