Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 土木工程與防災科技研究所 === 94 === The historical construction of Shoan Kuei education center is not only the cultural crystal of Ha-Ka ancestor but also one of the major culture features. But the memory of this precious historical construction’s symbol has been destroyed in short order as a result of 921 earthquake and road widening, constructing new buildings, removal of traditional eating houses and education centers, all of which are under the guideline of Mei-Nong township city plan. While feeling sad for the historical construction legacy, it has awakened the local residents and historical site conservators the importance of shock-prove safety for the historical constructions. The idea of evaluating current shock –prove safety for Mei-Nong’s hundred-year-old and shape Shoan-Kuei education center, documenting drawings and to reutilize the space of historical sites as a final practical contribution formulated.
Based on the time Shoan-Kuei education center was built, this article documents the different material utilized for repair during different stages in history; from bamboo to mud sandwiched bamboo to mud-brick red tile roof to thin brick tile wall with red tile roof to red brick with red tile roof. In order to be of reference for future reutilization of historical sites, through experiment, focusing on the thin brick tile wall with red tile roof era, in depth discussion of its main frame and earthquake damage were conducted. We concluded reasons for earthquake damage and the weakness of constructional shock prove.
Shock Tolerance Simplified Analytical Method(STSAM) was adapted to evaluate the shock prove level of historical construction in this article.
