In this paper the new conductors with high current-carrying capacity, including types of “Thermal-resistant Aluminum-alloy Conductor Steel Reinforced” (TACSR) and “eXtra Thermal-resistant Aluminum-alloy Conductors Invar-Reinforced” (XTACIR). The Standards of JCS-374 (Japan) and IEEE-738 are employed to calculate the tolerated currents. Finally, a field test is performed for the comparison purpose of the actual data and calculation.
