The cross-sectional research design is applied in this study and we choose 203 participates from home care patients by sampling of a medical center in southern Taiwan. Research instruments adopt the structural questionnaire that includes demographic data, diagnosis, activity of daily life, dietary habit and caring supports, and precedes the assessment of nutrition states of home care patients to investigate the relevant factors by using Mini Nutritional Assessment tool. The results of this study are found that there are 70 (34.5%) home care patients presenting the malnutrition. Regression analysis of Rogers shows that the most significant prediction factors of malnutrition of home care patients are:restrain of diabetes diet (OR:3.98), without the sufficient social supports (OR:3.39), poor family (OR:2.99), eat the home made diet (OR:0.27), It is a strong needs to take care the patients who are taking the formula diet, restrain of diabetes diet, lack of social supports and poor family. Early detect the nutrition states of home care patients may eliminate or solve the malnutrition problems and can also provide information for clinical practices to offer the completely nutrition care.
