It is aimed to explore (1)the situation of the school-work conflict and burnout of adult on-job college student ;(2) the differences in the school-work conflict and burnout of adult on-job college student when differing in personal characteristics and backgrounds; (3) the correlation within the school-work conflict and burnout of adult on-job college student. Eventually, this research intended to discuss and analyze with reference to the above mentioned findings to formulate conclusions and suggestions for the references of the leaders in work place and administrators in education, and for individuals for reference when confronting school-work conflict, and future references for related research. Methods Subjects were recruited by a cross-sectional survey from one college. Structured questionnaires was used to collect data. 766 valid questionnaires (78%) were analyzed. Results (1)Time conflict is the major barrier to the on-job college students. (2)The index score for the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) 68 which means the burnout intension is a little high above average. (3)There are significant differences of work-learning conflict by age, marital life, seniority, number of child, different department categories, and school education systems. There are also obvious differences of burnout by gender, working shift, number of child, and school education systems. (4)There are obvious differences of psychological index perceived health, vigor indicator, by high and low burnout ,and high burnout were worse than low burnout in health conditions. (5)There was positive correlation between work-learning conflict, individual burnout, job burnout and entire burnout. (6)Gender, work-learning conflict , weekly working hours were significantly related to burnout tendency. (7)A significant difference of job burnout was found by work-learning conflict, gender and daily working hours. (8)A significant difference of individual burnout was fount by work-learning conflict, gender, night shift. Conclusion: The results indicated that there were positive correlation among work-learning conflict, individual burnout, job burnout and entire burnout. And work-learning conflict was revealed more serious in job burnout, individual burnout and entire burnout tendency. Suggestions: (1)For adult students:collect more information before enter school to understand conflict situation for future;time management skill is also necessary. (2)For administrators in education:school management, schedule planning, stress the importance of time conflict, notice the health condition of absent students.
