The environment parameters considered in this study involve: temperature, humidity, intensify of sunshine, and the characteristics of common plants. The irrigating system consists of three sub-systems: a control system, an irrigating device, and an operating interface. A user’s operating interface is installed in a personal computer which connects to a programmable logic controller. The irrigating system is designed to respond to any variation of environmental signals. As compared to simulated signals, real environmental signals result in a similar result using this control system. The ultimate good of this research, other then to propose a practical application of the automatic irrigating system, is to provide future researchers with a platform on the study of other PC-based control systems.
