Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 電機工程學系碩士班 === 94 === An intelligent multi-functional Power Quality (PQ) analyzer is designed in this thesis to achieve the goal of real-time PQ monitoring and recording. The MCU (Microprocessor Control Unit, MCU) used in the proposed analyzer is C8051F320 designed by Silicon Laboratories. C8051F320 is an integrated mixed-signal System-on-a-Chip MCU featuring USB (Universal Serial Bus, USB) interface; therefore, it can be used for high-speed and considerable quantity data transmission. A USB-based PQ analyzer with appropriately designed I/O interface and peripherals is designed and implemented firstly. The PQ analyzing functions implemented in the proposed analyzer include 1) system voltage and current calculation, 2) system frequency and power factor calculation, 3) harmonic spectrum and total harmonic distortion calculation and 4) abnormal event recorder etc. Two Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) designed for Personal Computer (PC) and Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) are then developed. The HMI for PDA can achieve the PQ monitoring with tiny volume and mobility requirements. Besides, a GSM/GPRS (Global System for Mobile Communication, GSM/General Packet Radio Service, GPRS) module is developed and integrated into the proposed analyzer to realize the intelligent PQ monitoring and report- back system. When PQ index exceeds the predetermined limit, a message is sent to operator’s cell phone by the Short Message Service of GSM and then the PQ data including voltage and current waveforms, harmonic spectra and total harmonic distortion etc. are transmitted to the abnormal PQ event web server by GPRS. Operators can access to the abnormal PQ event web server to identify the PQ problems happened on the monitoring place. All the functions implemented in this thesis can realize the intelligent and real-time PQ monitoring and report-back system. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed system.
