Our study focuses on the improvement of the functions of electronic maps, and the analysis and comparison of some functions in a few software packages. We have added and improved a few functions, such as displaying roads of various grades in different widths, moving the map by “grabbing” it, switching to full window display, zooming by a frame, and measuring distance between two points.
