A number of periodic broadcast techniques have been proposed, most of which try to minimize either the server bandwidth, user storage, user access latency to the video, or a combination of some of the aforementioned parameters. In 2004, Mounir A. Tantaoui et al. proposed a broadcasting scheme called BroadCatch scheme. With an incremental channel design at the server side and a specific broadcast schedule, users can use lower bandwidth than the server to download the video. This paper proposes an improved BroadCatch scheme, which can further reduce the loading of the client bandwidth and client’s waiting time. Yukon Chang 張佑康 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 32 zh-TW
