Since motion data have a high degree of freedom in general, it is an essential issue to edit these motion data. In this study, the objective is to automatically connect multiple pieces of human-motion capture data as smooth as possible. Based on the concept of motion texture, cutting a motion segment from other similar motions is used to provide a smooth bridge between two connected motion data. In practical applications, the motion data usually contain insufficient usable data to look for similar ones. Therefore, we also propose an approach that can partitions human skeleton into sub-skeletons, finds a smooth transition for each individual part, and then constitutes a whole motion data. Finally, we give some experimental results to demonstrate the visual effects. Wei-Chang Du 杜維昌 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 56 zh-TW
