Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理研究所碩士班 === 94 === The development of the financial system in Taiwan has progressed with the release of domestic financial control restrictions and the opening of the financial market to the outside world. Innovative and versatile financial products have evolved due to the globalization and internationalization of the financial market; meanwhile fierce competition has taken place in the financial world globally as well as in Taiwan. Unlike past decades, banks can simply rely on profitable interest spread from deposits and loans and generate profitable revenues; nowadays, banking sector are constantly creating innovative financial products, offering better services, and segmenting their target markets in order to generate other sources of revenues in addition to interest income. On the other hand, from the general public’s standpoint, with the advancement of the economy, increasing of domestic income and higher average mortality rate, people’s demand for multiple financial tools for different needs have arisen. Under this over-banking competitive environment, the wealth management banking service has become banking industry’s one of their favorite and profitable service sector and the most popular service requested by the general public.
Without question, the domestic wealth management service demand has expanded rapidly due to the growth of Taiwanese’s wealth. Nevertheless, with such intense competition and highly comparable financial products offered across this industry, how to provide differentiated services and maintain positive long-term customer relationships have become the bank players’ biggest challenge and their sustainable advantage.
The purpose of this research is to discuss and analyze the topics related to the requirements and background of wealth management service sector, the role and functions of the financial advisors, the relationships between the financial advisors and their customers, the development of wealth management and private banking as well as the significance of wealth management service sector. Lastly, this study will comment on the wealth management service’s operational development system and their integrated management model and finally propose comments on the wealth management service sector’s future outlook.
