Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理研究所碩士班 === 94 === The main purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between job stress, coping strategies and job burnout of public school special educator. Also, this research aims at comparing those differences of public school special educator’s backgrounds in coping strategies and job burnout when confront with job stress. This research uses the questionnaire aiming at public school special educators in Kaohsiung city and county. There are 440 questionnaires issued and then with 207 questionnaires valid. The data was acquired and analyzed through those methods of descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, analysis of variance, t-test and Pearson’s correlation. The main findings of this research are as follows: 1. The most significant job stress is “professional knowledge and skill” 2. There are significant differences of public school special educators’ backgrounds (such as age, teaching years, school size, and administrative position) in job stress. 3. The most used way of coping strategies are “problem solve” and “seeking for help”. 4. There are significant differences of public school special educators’ backgrounds (such as age, education level, and teaching years) in job burnout. 5. There is significant positive relationship between job stress and job burnout. Key words: public school special educator, job stress, coping strategies, job burnout.
