碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 管理學研究所 === 94 === Abstract: Facing the great change of the environment and progressing of information technology progressing, hospital just like any industry needs to face the competition pressure of the external environment and costumer’s expectation. Recently, the hospital uses all kind of information systems in order to improve the quality of services and management efficiency. The advantages of ERP system are to improve organization performance, integrate data and increase quick response to customers. If implemented the ERP in hospital, the service quality and efficiency could be enhanced. This research used case study matched to assess the feasibility of applying ERP in Taiwan Adventist Hospital and Cardinal Tien Hospital. The result of this research indicated that if the hospital used ERP, it is suggested to divide hospitals’ processes into two parts: a part that is concerned only with deterministic processes and a part that is concerned with non-deterministic processes. ERP can be very useful for planning and controlling the deterministic processes.
