Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 94 === Knowledge communities play an important role in knowledge management. Although there are studies on factors influencing knowledge transfer, there are very few studies on mechanisms to promote knowledge transfer in a knowledge community. In this study, we focus on providing reputation on sender’s past posting as the primary signal to the receiver. We expect that signaling will build trust and promote knowledge community participation. We suggest that reputation should be calculated by topic and filtered by raters who have similar rating history to improve the accuracy of reputation. An experiment conducted to investigate the impact of signaling on knowledge community participation, and we found that the accuracy of signal will influence knowledge community participation. This study will help researchers to know more about the impact of signaling and the practitioners to know how to promote knowledge community participation through signaling.
