This thesis not only introduced the all system, but also indicated several antennas applied for RFID readers. Because the readers have to receive signals from everywhere, the performance of circular polarization is proper for them. Owing to its small size and easy reproduction, microstrip antennas are always designed for different purposes. This thesis made a circular-polarized microstrip antenna whose operation frequency is 915MHz based on FR4 printed circuit board. The inverted F antenna and the antenna based on styrofoam are simulated at the same time. Finally, the comparison between FR4 based antenna and microstrip antenna array available in markets will be presented.
